Recently my subject matter has shifted from solo women or mirrored pairs to those specifically interacting, whether it is the mirrored pair holding hands, or another gesture of connection. I have had this postcard, found amongst my grandmothers old stuff, on my studio wall for ages. The tenderness and trust in the shapes of this odd sculpture of Christ and John is so lovely. This is the type of silent but deeply felt interactions I hope to imply.
